Join local forager and author, John Slattery, for a foraging walkabout throughout Oracle State Park. You’ll learn to identify a variety of wild edible plants while we explore foraging techniques and preparation strategies, and habitat observation coupled with some ideas about how to develop a deep relationship with local plants used for food and medicine.

All participants should bring appropriate sun protection, ample water to drink, and comfortable footwear for exploring the desert. A notebook and camera are suggested, but not required for this class.
