Join herbalist and forager, John Slattery, for this hands-on workshop. In addition to discussing the virtues, history, and ethnobotany of oaks and acorns we'll take dry acorns and turn them into a ready to use flour in this 3 hour workshop!
In addition to discussing several options for what to do with your nutritious acorn flour, there will be a prepared acorn treat for everyone to sample in class.
There is no equipment or prior experience necessary to participate in this class. Just bring an open mind and willingness to learn. Each participant will receive handouts detailing the procedures we'll cover in class.
